Eligibility Requirements: Student must apply by the November 15th deadline, completing the optional personal statement and resume on the application portal. Students must also apply to merit based scholarships through their MyApp Portal after completing the application for admission. Scholarship application includes 3 essays and 2-3 recommendation letters, so students should plan to begin working on all of this long before Nov. 15th!
Eligibility Requirements: High academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, community involvement, and commitment to teaching. Combined SAT score (quantitative + critical reading scores) of 1100 or equivalent and GPA 3.4.
Eligibility Requirements: One senior can be nominated from Surry Early College High School respectively. Selection criteria to be considered include: grades, GPA, class rank, extracurricular involvement, achievements, leadership, and character. Belk Scholars are those students whose outstanding intellectual ability and success, leadership experience, commitment to service and overall personal vigor mark them as those who will accomplish much and contribute most to the Davidson community and in their lives beyond their college years.

Eligibility Requirements: Surry Early College High School can nominate up to three outstanding seniors for this scholarship. Duke University/UNC-Chapel Hill Robertson Scholars Program
Eligibility Criteria: Selection of 36 scholars, 18 at Duke and 18 at UNC-Chapel Hill, who demonstrate excellent leadership abilities. Students will receive their education at either Duke or UNC-Chapel Hill and spend a semester at the opposite institution. The scholarship seeks students that exhibit purposeful leadership, intellectual curiosity, strength of character, and a collaborative spirit.
Scholarship Award: Covers costs of tuition, books, room and board, three summers of domestic and international experiences, and customized leadership and professional developmental opportunities.
Eligibility Requirements: Opportunities and deadlines vary. Apply to the school by Nov. 15 to be considered for the Honors College, and apply by December to be considered for many merit-based scholarships. See the link below for more details.
Elon University Elon University Engineering Scholarships
Eligibility Requirements: Dual-degree engineering program at Elon allows students to earn two bachelor's degrees: one from Elon and one from an affiliated engineering school. Students spend the first 3 years at Elon and the last 2 at an engineering school. Elon students may apply to any engineering school they choose. Students must first apply to Elon University before applying for the scholarship. A special Engineering scholarship application must also be submitted with two letters of recommendation.
Scholarship Award: Two scholarships valued at $7,000 annually will be awarded.
Elon University Fellows Academic and Scholarship Programs
Eligibility Requirements: Elon University offers six Fellows programs for students planning to attend Elon. In each Fellows program, students receive special courses, faculty mentoring, special housing options, paid research assistantships or internships. Students must first apply to Elon University before applying for the scholarship.
Scholarship Award: $5,000-$13,500-per-year plus additional program perks.
Eligibility Requirements: For academically talented High School Juniors. Candidates should have an "A" average and combined SAT of 1900 or above, or ACT of 29 and above. Candidates should demonstrate leadership and sustained commitment in co-curricular activities.
Scholarship Award: Early notification of acceptance into Elon, Presidential Scholarship of $18,000 over 4 years, and invitation for Elon Fellows Academic and Scholarship program during senior year of high school.

Elon University Odyssey Scholarships
Eligibility Requirements: Need-based scholarships awarded to prospective members of the upcoming Elon University freshman class. Applicants must apply to Elon university, submit all financial aid forms (FAFSA and CSS Profile) as part of the application process. Applicants must be North Carolina residents who will graduate from North Carolina high school. Applicants should have a solid record of academic achievement.
Scholarship Award: Amount varies. Many programs also include financial grant for university-approved study abroad experience.
Fayetteville State University Dr. Valeria Fleming STEM Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements: High school seniors, who have applied to Fayetteville State University with a declared STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) major, a 22 on the ACT or 1000 on the SAT.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should have a record of academic excellence and portray a deep desire to serve students through a career in teaching.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must complete the FAFSA and have a minimum GPA of 3.75 or above and a 1200 or above SAT (Math and Verbal) or 26 ACT.

North Carolina Central University North Carolina Central University: BRITE Scholarships
Eligibility Requirements: High school seniors planning to attend North Carolina Central University who are interested in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biomanufacturing, and Medicinal Science should apply. Scholarships are available to first-time freshmen, community college, transfers with AS degrees or rising Juniors.
Scholarship Award: Full or partial scholarship to NC Central.

North Carolina Central University General Scholarships
Eligibility Requirements: All students who are incoming into NCCU are considered for these scholarships when they apply. North Carolina State University NCSU College of Textiles Scholarships
Eligibility Requirements: Scholarships are offered through the NCSU College of Textiles and is designed to help promote the textile industry. Seniors who meet the entrance criteria for NCSU and are interested in pursuing an education in textiles may apply. There are two nomination spots available for Elkin and Surry Early College High Schools.
Scholarship Award: From full tuition to 55% of in-state costs, including a $7,500 enrichment fund.
Deadline: Self nominate by November 15, 2019 and apply by December 1, 2019

The scholarship program brings exceptional students to NC State based on outstanding accomplishments and potential in scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Scholarship Award: Covers costs of tuition, books, room and board, travel and personal expenses, computer stipend, and personal enrichment experiences.

Eligibility Requirements: Two outstanding seniors from Elkin and Surry Early College High School can receive the school nomination for this award. You may still nominate yourself. The program seeks a student that exhibits scholarship, character, leadership, and physical vigor. Applicants should be competitive applicants to UNC-Chapel Hill.
Scholarship Award: Covers costs of tuition, fees, room and board, books, laptop, supplies, miscellaneous, plus Discovery Funds to be used for educational opportunities.
Eligibility Requirements: A scholarship for students talented in creative writing. Students must submit samples of their work as part of the scholarship application process and must apply to UNC-CH under Early Admission deadline (10/15/15).
Scholarship Award: Full-ride scholarship, there is one winner of this scholarship per-year.
Deadline: Student must apply to UNC-CH under Early Admission deadline, 10/15/19, and submit required application documents postmarked by 11/15/17.
Eligibility Requirements: Candidates must be applicants for freshman enrollment at UNC-Charlotte in a baccalaureate program for the fall term following high school graduation. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and should present an excellent academic record, demonstrate a commitment to community service, and possess a capacity for ethical leadership. Scholarship Award: Covers full tuition, room and board, service grant to implement a service project of the scholar's own design, and four summers of experiences. 15 scholarships will be awarded each year.

Eligibility Requirements: This scholarship helps in-state students graduate from UNC-G in four years with little to no debt. Awarded to graduating high school seniors who apply to and are admitted to UNC-G for fall enrollment. Scholars must: Be a North Carolina resident for tuition purposes, SAT of 1100 or above (Math and Verbal) or a 23 ACT or above, be pursuing first undergraduate degree, graduated from high school within the past 8 months. Students must apply to UNC- G and must be admitted then also apply for the scholarship.
Scholarship Award: Helps meet all expenses for in-state students so they can graduate from UNC-G in 4 years with little to no debt. Also provides a support program to encourage academic and personal success.
Eligibility Requirements: Participation in the UNCG Teacher Education Fellows Program is open to incoming freshmen. In order to be eligible for participation in the UNCG Teacher Education Fellows Program, students must meet the following criteria: Have at least a 3.80 cumulative high school GPA. Score a minimum of 1100 on the SAT (verbal and math) or 24 on the ACT composite. Have at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA at the end of the first semester at UNCG. Maintain a minimum 3.30 cumulative GPA by their sophomore year at UNCG.
